The Best Dressed Bollywood Characters

Bollywood influences us in more ways than we can think, fashion being a major one. The style quotient of Bollywood celebrities is always a matter of scrutiny. What they wear instantly becomes a fashion trend in the nation. We’re always the first to judge a personality by what he or she wears at an award function or a press conference. We make notes of what they wear to the airport but fail to observe their onscreen style statements. Characters make actors, so don’t you think that what they wear onscreen is more important than what they wear offscreen. We make a list of the best dressed Bollywood characters and give the due credit to the stylists of the movies. Well done guys; these characters gave us some serious fashion goals!

Alia Bhatt in Student Of The Year:
Newbies Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra made their debut in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year. Alia had us swooning with those high-end designer dresses and handbags. Though it was her first movie, she carried it off with ease. Signs of a true fashionista! In fact, even the male leads were seen sporting smart tees and jackets. SOTY definitely made for a stylish movie.

Deepika Padukone in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani:
We could not choose our favourite look from both of Deepika’s looks in the movie. While the initial part saw her sporting a nerdy look with cute flowery dresses with feminine sweaters, the latter part definitely stole the show! We were stunned when Deepika came on screen wearing those stunning lehengas during Kalki’s destination wedding.

Kangana Ranaut in Tanu Weds Manu:
The elegant beauty Kangana Ranaut looked ethnically sexy in those deep neck fitted salwars kameez in the first part of the movie. The sequel saw her wearing jaw droppingly sexy blouse cuts with classic, sheer sarees. And we just fell in love with the tattoo at her nape!

Deepika Padukone in Ramleela:
Here’s a confession! I almost missed some parts of the movie because I was busy noticing the details of Deepika’s every ensemble. Her exquisite lehengas, low messy buns, Gujrati tattoos and Chandbali earrings; no wonder Deepika Padukone is the reigning queen of Bollywood!

Alia Bhatt in Two States:
For most part of the movie, Alia was dressed in feminine and oh-so-wearable kurtis, long skirts, salwar suits and sarees. To be honest, her wardrobe in the movie did fill me with envy. She effortlessly carried the girl-next-door look. Oh yes, she did look sexy in those South Indian Kanjeevarams *drooling*

Jacqueline Fernandes in Roy:
Though the movie made it to the list of the most disappointing films of the year, Jacqueline stood out because of her wardrobe. She looked equally hot in both the looks; in the retro look with the striking red lip-shade and in those flirty hotpants and chic accessories. We love Jacqueline for simultaneously bringing Ayesha and Tia to life!

Sonam Kapoor in Aisha:
This movie might have been a commercial flop but it brought together the best creations of Indian and International fashion designers. Aisha was a fashionista of the highest order and if you go by Sonam’s offscreen fashion screen, she was the perfect choice for Aisha. Even the supporting characters were highly styled.

Deepika Padukone in Tamasha:
Deepika sizzles yet again in those beachy skirts and braided headbands while holidaying in Corsica. The second half of the movie saw her look crisp and classy in formal pantsuits and pencil skirts along with a neat pony. Needless to say, she pulled off both the looks with much aplomb.
