What Is Aminexil?
Aminexil is the brand name of Kopexil, which is a chemical compound, scientifically referred as diaminopyrimidine oxide. Some cosmetologists claim that it helps fight hair loss or promote hair growth, by elevating blood circulation in hair follicles. The compound is an ingredient for formulating vasodilators, or blood pressure medication that enlarges blood capillaries to improve blood circulation. Its chemical profile is similar to Minoxidil, which is widely used for treatment of hair loss that too was originally a vasodilator. Hence, a many cosmetic products are released that claim to fight hair loss due to androgenic alopecia, telogen effluvim and anagen effluvium.
How Does Aminexil Work?
It is said to soften hair follicles. Otherwise, it represents to treat hair loss in a similar way as Minoxidil does. It opens up blood vessels allowing better blood circulation, oxygen and nutrition to reach the dermal papillae, and thus strengthen hair follicles against the DHT inflammation.
How Is It Applied?
It is available over the counter, rather as a cosmetic product than medical. It is used with topical application, mainly as shampoo. Other applications include hair lotions and live-in hair conditioner. There is no indication of dosage, unlike Minoxidil, which is applied topically, with a dosage indication of 2% and 5% for daily use, in, that is approximately 1-2ml in quantity.
Effectiveness Of Aminexil And Comparison With Minoxidil And DHT Blockers
